Our new park

A little bit ago our community park got a facelift.  The cool thing about our park is that it is literally across the street from us.  It is like having a private park in our front yard.  They added three new elements to the park.  My favorite is the swing set.  We have one in our backyard, but this swingset is bigger and is made of metal and i can grip it better.  From my perspective I can swing better on it.  There is also a new see saw.  I tried it out with my sitser but could not work it.  I think it is useless.  At least we have the swings to play with.

vacation bible school

Today was my first day of vacation bible school, I liked it a lot my sister Emma and friend Elisabeth were there. I wonder if it will be as good  worse or better, I hope better. I get to see my mom because she the snack mom. I was in a surprise slide show and got my picture taked for my craft: a picture frame this weeks theme is a swamp themeThe theme changes every year and is only 1 week a year. a cool thing is it is at my school.  Snack was pretty good, trail mix with lemonade.  We also sing songs and do dances.  We bought the cd today so we can learn all of the songs.  At the end of the day a few of the teen leaders put on a skit , it always makes everyone crack up!  Looking forward to tomorrow. 

Camden aquarium

 yesterday my grandparents (from connect) my sister my dad :-) and me went to the Camden aquarium. Why we where there I pet my new favorite animal a stingray, I have the magic touch all of them where coming to get touched by me I also touched a shark and a starfish. I also saw giant  stingrays, walked under a bridge with real sharks in water all around me. at the gift shop I got a stingray stuffed animal. Igot home and our fish tank looked a little amiture compared to the Camden aquarium.  I hope we can go back again and if we do I hope there will be a new exhibit.  Really looking forward to going back!   :-)

great valley nature center

I was just at the great valley nature center this week. Next week I will be going to vacation bible camp. Then I will be going back to the great valley nature center next week. I had fun except for the goose poop all over the place. I was lucky I got to go in the sugar shack and not in a tent but my sister was in a tent. We got to take out the salamander a bearded dragon named spike and a type of snake we also had turtle races.  There are three turtles and we used worms to get them to go.  One of the turtles is blind (Lola) she did not race but we still gave her some worms.  I got to pet another turtle named Franklin. 

The coolest part was we got to see the secret pond.  The location is very hidden and not many people know about it.  In there we did a ph test and a dissolved oxygen test.  This was done to determine the health of the pond.  We also visited the spring house.  In the olden days it acted like a refrigerator. 

I can’t wait to go back there in 2 weeks.  ps. Hopefully, there will not be as much goose poop.

ACAC pool trip #1

we are going to go to the ACAC pool soon. the the reason for going is because school just ended yesterday. the ACAC pool we go the most is the adventure central pool (the out door pool). I like the little  pool the most because I can stand in the whole thing, the sprinklers, easy to get stuff on the bottom floor, and a bench in the deep end. That is the newest pool and my favorite pool I wonder if they will ever build a new pool in ACAC and if they do I wonder if I will like it even more although that is not likely because I love going to the adventure central pool I also go to a heated indoor pool in the summer and more in the winter because the adventure central pool is not open in the winter.

dad’s birthday

yesterday was my dad’s birthday. It was really fun. we ate cake at the end of the day. at the beginning of the day we gave him around ten hand-made cards.  I guess you can say it is almost like mother’s day. It was sunny, not rainy. We did not have a trampolene yet, so we could not play on it.  I did not have school that day because it was a holy day of obligation and I go to a catholic school.  We  went out to eat at my favorite Japanese steak house.  It is my dad’s favorite too.  It is the kinf of place where they cook it right in front of you.  My dad caught two shrimps in his mouth.  I hope we can top this next year for my D A double. (that is what I call my dad for his nickname.)

summer camps

school is almost over so I will not be blogging in the school category for around three months. school ends 6/11/09. but I will be blogging about my summer camps I will be going to more than one camp. I sleep in a different place, and will be sleeping over my grandma’s house more often. That does not mean my other grandma will come down more ofter thou. I love summer because of the camps like great valley nature center and the computer camp. I can’t wait for summer to start (June 12th).  we are all ready taking are books home and doing are final test I can’t wait  for summer to start (June 12th). like I Said before

new trampoline

 Today we got a new trampoline. It took around three and a half  hours to build it. It was worth the long wait because it was so fun to bounce on. I bounced from around 4:00 till until 6:30.  We have been wanting this for about a month and my mom surprised me while I was watching TV and told me today was the day.

The tramplone is huge and green and black.  In fact, take a look at the picture below:

So far my sister and I made up aroung 3 different games to play in it.  One of the games one person lies downa and the other person jumps and bounces the person up.  Another game is one person lays down next to the edge and the other person runs and the other person tries to grab their leg.  My favorite game is sort of like tag but now exactly.  I am so tired right now.  I am looking forward to tomorrow and all summer long as this is the coolest thing ever.

Franklin institute

 We went to the Franklin institute yesterday. My dad and grandpop P. went on the sky ride at the Franklin institute. I loved going to the Franklin institute. Some prizes I got are a crushed coin, a green super bouncy ball and a Miny Ben  Franklin snow globe. my favorite exhibit was the inside the heart exhibit and my favorite thing playing in the big heart maze. Another favorite thing of mine was the laser light show at the beginning. the reason we went was because I have a Dr. app. today so I can’t goto my class field trip today. 

we went to the planetarium show which is all about the night time sky.  I learned that there are 84 constellations in the sky and we can see half of them from earth.  It is amazing to think that there are billions of other galaxies beyond the Milky Way.  Another thing we learned is that we can see other planets in the sky, but they just look like bright stars.  It was also cool to learn that there is frozen ice on one of the moons of Jupiter.  This means that there may be life on this moon.  While we were waiting to get into the plabetarium we went to the steam engine exhibit and we got to go in a real steam engine.  I learned all about how the steam works with the pistons to run the train.  The train used to be royal colors but it looked dirty because of the coal so they painted it black.  The Franklin Institute bought this train for only 1$ and then hooked it up to electricity for the display.

We were on our way out when we stumbled upon a laser and phaser show.  It was cool, they taught us about to how to make a phaser.  We did not have enough time to see the Imax show or the Start Trek exipition, maybe next time.

Last day of acting class

Today was the Last day of acting class. We put on a performance for our families and friends. The performance was about stuff we learned in all of the classes . It was really fun.   During the performance at acting class, the entire pretended we were making a machine to make a magical box.  My role and everyone else’s is an acting secret.

The next thing we did was based on a magical box.  We each went to the box in pairs as our characters.  My character was “the lonely cupcake.” I picked out of the magical box a portal to another dimension.  The last part of the acting performance was when we all went around as our character and the teacher said freeze and then everyone took a picture.  We did that like four times.  I asked my dad to take pictures with my phone (they were not very good) but luckily my grandpa is going to send me a good picture from his iPhone to my cell phone.  During the day I had mixed emotions because I was happy to be doing the performance but I was sad that this was the last time I would be in acting class for about a year.  What a fun day ! :cool: ;-) :-)
