last blog post I said stay tuned for a SHARK DISSECTION and here is the news………………..
The day started off with us watching a video of a camp counselor from another camp dissecting a shark. Then we read a long book about sharks and then we went out for snack. Finally it was time for the dissection. I was surprised that the shark was so small. It was a sand tiger shark. I was too sad to cut the shark open but the rest of the group did that. Once it is cut open, I did cut out the heart after the liver was removed. It was really weird when I saw the heart, it was actually black unlike ours. We did the dissection outside because of the putrid oder. I wanted to take home the hear, but just like the squid, we could not take home any organs.
after the SHARK DISSECTION I played kick ball (every day before that I did not) I got to hot so I sat down under a shady tree then after a little bit my camp group went inside but forgot me. That’s ok , I found my back inside.
ps. Did you know that sharks have no bones only cartilage.
